We received an email after having shown Fidus Writer off at the Frankfurt Bookfair last fall to several of the university open access publishers. They wanted us to show the advantages of Fidus at their annual gathering in the East German town of Merseburg, just a few hours by train outside of Berlin. Three of us went — Takuto, Daniel and Johannes. Daniel presented on the issues publishers currently face with the workflow of both ebooks and physical publications. Johannes then showed some a little bit of Fidus Writer before a general debate on the viability of the various options to continue ensued.
